Rigging & Lifting Equipment Inspections in Illinois
Onsite inspection requests for lifting slings, shackles, hooks and other identified rigging equipment used by contractors and industrial employers.
Plan your equipment inspection
Send an inventory identifying sling types, fittings, lifting accessories, manufacturer markings and quantities. Explain the lifting tasks and any previous inspection records. Inspection scope and identification needs are agreed before the visit.
Components to discuss in the inspection scope
- Identification tags, capacity markings and available records
- Visible wear, damage and deformation appropriate to the equipment type
- Applicable sling bodies, terminations and fittings
- Hooks, shackles and other agreed lifting accessories
- Documented observed deficiencies and equipment identification
SFTI confirms the equipment, access, inspection scope and documentation before booking. Load or proof testing, repairs and operator training are separate requests. Share any additional customer requirements before scheduling.
Dealers welcome
Equipment dealers and fleet owners can request a single-unit visit or discuss an inventory at a suitable commercial location. Identify each unit or item and its available records.
Fleet and dealer pricing available
Ask about pricing for multiple units inspected at one location or recurring fleet and dealer work. Send the equipment list, quantities, location and desired schedule. Pricing and any discount are confirmed in your quote.
