SFTI is based in Joliet, Illinois and provides owner-performed mobile inspections, testing and safety training at customer locations. Our primary service-area target is approximately three hours of driving from Joliet. Send your actual facility address so SFTI can confirm travel and scheduling. More distant Midwest projects are available by arrangement.
The Illinois Valley, I-80 west, I-39 and I-55 south are deliberate priorities alongside Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. More distant Illinois and Midwest requests are available by arrangement. Traffic, the work location and service scope affect travel; this is not a fixed three-hour boundary or a promise of free travel.

Plan your service visit
For a new request, choose the service and provide the operating address. An equipment yard or suitable employer facility is needed; equipment inspections and dielectric testing cannot be performed at residential locations.
- Send the inventory. Include make, model, serial or fleet number, quantities, previous records and known defects. For training, add participant count and equipment types.
- Confirm the work location. Give the commercial yard or facility address, gate access, available work space and site contact. Equipment inspections and dielectric testing are not performed at residential locations.
- Review the quote. Scope, documentation, travel charges and scheduling are confirmed before booking. Neither a website request nor an inspection page authorizes continued equipment use.
Questions before booking
What if my town is not listed?
Send the actual site address, equipment details and preferred dates. SFTI reviews requests throughout Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan, with other travel projects by arrangement. A missing town name is not an automatic exclusion.
Does the visit include every test and inspection my equipment needs?
No. Identify each service you need. A crane or aerial-device inspection does not automatically include a load test, dielectric test, DOT annual, repairs or operator training. SFTI reviews the agreed scope before booking.
Can you provide an inspection or training date now?
Send your preferred dates and actual equipment location. SFTI will confirm availability and travel arrangements directly. No date or price is guaranteed by this page.
Dealers welcome
Equipment dealers can request inspections for individual units or a multi-unit inventory at a commercial yard. Send the unit list, equipment data plates, previous reports and availability windows. SFTI will confirm the inspection scope and documentation for each unit, plus scheduling and travel for the visit.
