Practical inspection support for lifting equipment.
Plan inspection service around your lifting equipment and work schedule. SFTI confirms the equipment and requested scope, examines the agreed components and documents observed deficiencies for follow-up.
- Mobile crane, boom truck and digger derrick inspection support
- Visual and functional checks within the agreed inspection scope
- Review of controls and safety devices
- Wire rope, hooks and visible load-path components
- Organized inspection records and deficiency reporting
Equipment type, manufacturer requirements and applicable inspection provisions determine the scope. Discuss any customer-specific requirements or additional testing before the visit.
Truck cranes, boom trucks, carry decks and grapple-equipped trucks
Request inspections for compact carry deck cranes and truck-mounted grapple loaders. Identify the crane or loader and its attachments separately from the vehicle; DOT annual inspections and load tests are separate requests.
Dealers welcome
Equipment dealers can request inspections for individual units or a multi-unit inventory at a commercial yard. Send the unit list, equipment data plates, previous reports and availability windows. SFTI will confirm the inspection scope and documentation for each unit, plus scheduling and travel for the visit.
Truck Crane & Boom Truck Inspections: identify the crane or boom and carrier separately when requesting the inspection.
Overhead cranes and hoists
Overhead crane and hoist inspections are available for industrial facilities. Send the equipment identification, capacity and safe access arrangements.
What to send before scheduling
Send the equipment make, model, serial number, capacity, location and number of units. Include previous inspection reports, known deficiencies, requested dates and any jobsite documentation requirements. Ask separately about load testing or dielectric testing needs.
Service area
Request onsite service in Joliet, Morris, Chicagoland and throughout Illinois. Midwest and nationwide projects are available by request; travel and scheduling are confirmed for your location.
Common questions
Can you inspect equipment at our yard or jobsite?
Onsite service can be coordinated at your location. Share access details and equipment availability so SFTI can confirm the arrangements.
Is load testing included in every inspection?
No. Load or proof testing is a separate scope that must be discussed and confirmed for the equipment and purpose.
Can we combine different equipment in one service request?
Yes. List each equipment type and quantity, including bucket trucks, forklifts or other units, so SFTI can confirm the services and schedule.
